The Taiwan Political Science Association (TPSA), founded in 1994, has steadily developed over the past three decades through the dedicated efforts of its successive presidents. As a major academic community in Taiwan’s political science community, the TPSA aims to provide a platform for scholarly exchange, establish a broad academic network, expand domestic and international collaboration, publish a high-quality academic journal, and foster talent. Its mission is to enhance the quality of political science research in Taiwan and contribute meaningfully to the development of the discipline both locally and across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Taiwanese Political Science Review (TPSR) is the most influential journal among all the political science journals in Taiwan. It is first indexed in SCOPUS in 2015 thanks to former chief editor Dr. Ching-ping Tang. TPSR aims not only to gain influence across the Taiwan Strait and overseas and demonstrate the quality of local studies in Taiwan, but also to encourage dialogues among scholars in the professional community and proactively explore the frontier issues of political science studies in Taiwan.
